The much talked about controversial generation leap is set to take place in the popular Star Plus serial Ishqbaaz and the Ishqbaaz season 2 will start off from Monday, 17th December 2018. The story of Ishqbaaz 2 will comprise of Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika's (Surbhi Chandna) son, Shivaansh Singh Oberoi (Nakuul Mehta). It is know that Shivaay and Anika's story will not be seen from the upcoming episode, however, the latest episode of Ishqbaaz ended the Ishqbaaz season 1 story quite abruptly. It is seen that Jay has got Anika kidnapped through Rajiv and Shivaay is seen struggling to save her. Shivaay, Rudra and Bhavya do manage to reach Anika, but at the last moment Anika is seen dying in the massive blast.
However, this is an abrupt end as viewers expected at least some Shivika intense moments, emotional closure of Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra's bonding. Apparently, this is one of the strategies of Gul Khan. The story of Shivaay and Anika's real end will be seen in Ishqbaaz season 2 through flash backs. This will keep the viewers and Shivika fans intrigued to the show while the leap carries on.
